Notes & Reading Thoughts:
Whoa this was a wild listen. The author hooked me in at the beginning with her almost death experience in her childhood and captured my attention throughout. I enjoyed that this was narrated by the author and though it was interesting, it was a heavy read.
I didn’t take notes while reading (I tend to forget when I’m listening to audio) but I can say that I cringed during so much of this book and was actually relieved when it was over because I wouldn’t have to hear more about the atrocious actions and internal workings of the Facebook team. It’s absolutely disgusting what went on behind the scenes and the way that people in the C-Suite at Facebook ran things with such blatant disregard for the human beings at their company and for so many people around the world that use Facebook.
In a nutshell:
It’s an important read and I appreciate that this book was written; I imagine it will be put on many ‘banned book lists’ if not already.
