⭐️ Quick Take / My Thoughts:

Overall I really enjoyed this book!  It was engaging, entertaining, and filled with intriguing characters and storylines.

Read if you like:

💖 Fantasy | Vampires

💖 Young Adult Fantasy with a hint of romance

What you can expect & random notes:

🩵 Contains a map in the front cover

🩵 Lots of tea! Tearoom called Spindrift

🩵 Some blood and action

🩵 Takes place in Autumn

🩵 Sad backstory on how the two main characters became orphans

🩵 Chosen family

🩵 Woman of color that created a successful business

🩵 Bit of a cliffhanger at the end, leaving you wanting more - I saw the author posted that there’s a second book in the works!

🩵 Action-packed fairly quick read

Favorite Quotes:

💭 Pg 11 Secrets were meant to ferment; they aged well the longer they sat, the higher their value.

💭Pg77 Ignorance had always been a defining feature of the privileged.

💭Pg290 Death bleeds red no matter the color of one’s skin.

💭Pg303 They were beaten down, yes, but they were stronger now. There was nothing more dangerous than those with nothing left to lose.

OUABC Box gifts

🎁 Pg43 soft checked scarf - super soft, excited to wear this one! Or maybe I’ll end up using as a photo prop for cozy settings

🎁 Pg81 black tea mug that says You Stir My Blood on the inner rim - oh my gosh I’m so excited to use this!

🎁Pg245 a leather with purple ribbon bookmark. Interesting concept but will likely never actually use it. Cute item even if it’s not something I’ll use.

✨Overall was super happy with the trio of gifts!

What kind of tea do you like, how do you take it, and do you have any special treats you like to enjoy with it? If you’re not a tea drinker what’s a favorite cafe treat?
