🔥 Steamy but not overly so; somewhat open door but more about the chemistry

💕 Tons of great romance tropes: small town | meet cute | damsel in distress | age gap

💭 Sensitive topics: domestic abuse (physical and emotional) | family dynamics

🤔 Thoughts & Notes: I absolutely LOVED this book and am only sorry it took me so long to get around to reading it! This was the first in a series and I really want to read the second one right away (but I’m deliberating because I have a huge stack of authors that I want to read before this summer’s SteamyLitCon).

I loved the witty writing style, the characters, the storyline, and the impactful themes and messages throughout; you are enough, you deserve love, know your worth. Loved the cute animals and all their cutesy names, especially the goat!

Loved the overall theme of discovering how you want your life to be —and who you want to share that with — and doing everything you can to allow yourself to be safe and happy with someone that appreciates and loves you for who you are.

Quick take: Great romance pick that I would highly recommend. Can’t wait to read Yours Truly and so excited to meet the author this summer at the SteamyLit Con!! 🥹
