Currently Reading: The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins | Genre: Nonfiction Personal Development | 336 pages hardback | 10 hrs 38 mins on audio | Pub. Dec. 24.24

Pre-listening thoughts:

I’ve read a few books by Mel Robbins and absolutely love her inspirational vibes, so this was an auto-buy for me and I’m excited to dive in.

I initially preordered a hardback copy from target during one of their preorder sales last year. Unfortunately, I received an email notification that my preorder was cancelled - I tried to search a few retailers to order again but it looks like it was sold out or not being carried.

Target no longer shows the book as an option at all, and Amazon shows the publish date as 12.24.24 but the delivery date of the hardback if ordered today is February 16th?! B&N shows it as out of stock and available on January 13th. Not entirely sure what happened here and haven’t seen an update on the author’s social media with any insight.

Thankfully I was trying to find a few audiobooks worthy of using my remaining Audible credits before I cancel my subscription, and this one fits the assignment. Between Everand and KU {and yes, I subscribe to both}, there’s so much available that having an Audible membership is completely unnecessary. I have a few credits left to use before I cancel my subscription and figured this was a good one to use a credit on since it’s not available in my other subscriptions yet. I’ve cancelled a few times over the last year or two; the Audible plus category keeps pulling me back in but then I struggle to use my regular monthly credit. Trying to find something that isn’t in Everand or easily available on Libby is tough!

Note - only a few minutes in and I already know I’m going to love it and will want a physical copy. Where oh where can I buy it?!

TLDR:

  • Auto-buy author, highly recommend

  • Target preorder got cancelled

  • Audible credit for the win!
